SET, SETTING, STORY
My journey began on California tennis courts, initially as a professional player and then as a coach. After years of coaching my interest in sports psychology led me to study Cognitive Science in Germany, where I focused on Critical Phenomenology and AI Ethics. My studies only deepened my curiosity in the human mind and introduced me to psychedelic research.This led me to join the MIND Foundation in Berlin as an on-site manager for their research conference INSIGHT in 2021.
After MIND I joined the OPEN Foundation in Amsterdam as a project lead for the Interdisciplinary Conference on Psychedelic Research (ICPR) in 2022. My role as an on-site manager and project lead at large-scale conferences provided me with a thorough understanding of the field's "complexities", and I couldn't help but notice a broader need in the space - namely a terrible problem of accessibility and equity.
So I shifted my focus to supporting practitioners and facilitators more trans-disciplinarily. I became involved with harm-reduction and destigmatization work, giving talks, workshops, and consultation starting in 2023. My advisory work today ranges from recreational to clinical settings, where I aim to support the continued positive impact of psychedelic experiences regardless of where or how they are happening.
